Frugal Fashion Finds – Everything for under $150
So today… I went on a mission. Go find a few outfits with shoes for under $200 total. Don’t forget – at the end, learn how you can win a GC!
Since finding the MilkshakeNYC x Fetti Betty Shakes at K-Mart, I decided they might be the place. So, I started at K-Mart, and found a new brand THRE3. A classic style, polos, clean cut denim, v-neck pullover sweaters (with the cool little logo on the chest), and some other pieces that looked pretty good. Everything topped off at a max of $24.99 (denim). I found a pair of medium blue denim jeans, with stretch, minor boot cut, that fit perfectly. (That’s key… jeans are SO hard to find to begin with, yet alone the ones that fit the curves right). The colors were great. Lots of purple, turquoise, gray, red. The perfect color scheme to add to the closet, to start with to create an outfit.
So – my K-Mart finds are: 1 Pair denim boot-cut stretch jeans – $24.99 (all prices are BEFORE discounts), a purple v-neck sweater – $19.99, purple polo w/detail neck and sleeves – $16.99 and a cute turquoise dolman sleeve v-neck tunic with a matching turquoise/black plaid scarf – $16.49.
After all sales and discounts, the total for 4 pieces were $63. Not bad.
Second (and last) stop was PayLess shoes. The past few years they’ve really stepped their game up with some designer brand shoes, such as LelaRose, zoe & zac, alice & oliva, and now STPL x Airwalk.
I can remember years (many, many… MANY) years back when Airwalk was THE skateboard shoe. Jason Lee and Tony Hawk had their pro-models with Airwalk… fastforward about 20+ years and Airwalk has collab’d with Jeff Staple, (From the STPL x Airwalk site: DJ, curator, sneakerhead, writer and entrepreneur jeffstaple typifies the iconic essence of the Airwalk brand. His launch collection, exclusively for Payless, fuses boardsport culture, street style and contemporary design sense.)
I picked up two pairs (one “womens,” one “mens.”) They designs are tight, and the color schemes make me happy as well. Plus – payless has their BOGO sale so I saved $20 on the pair as well. Pair uno is the Terra HiCut Skate in Purple/Orange/Gray/Black/White. (Also available in Gray/Blue), the second pair are the Terrain High brown boot-like kicks. These are gonna be my new fav winter kicks. (If you’re gonna check them out – check out the JIM95, the old school cut Airwalks from back-in-the-back-in-the…. All white.
Total Frugal Fashion Finds costs = $130 (before tax). Not bad for a day’s work. $70 under budget, and I have to admit, I’m pretty impressed with what I found.

Awesome deal! I love checking for online coupons. I have saved a lot of money this way, whether its a coupon code, or a free shipping discount, each bit helps. Also, hit the sample sales when you can! I scored a designer handbag that retails for $365 for only $180 last month during a sample sale. Can’t beat that!

This week it was the Simple shoe sale! They had items marked down 85% so I got two pairs of shoes for $30. I also love Target’s clearance section. They have cute clothes and since stores sell items ahead of season, by the time it’s the weather to wear the things, many are in the clearance section.
